Would you like to do something about ever increasing electrical prices? Do you have wind available? If you do, there are a number of options available to you.

New to wind turbines? One option is, if you are hands-on and like a challenge, educate yourself about wind turbine requirements, installation and maintenance.  It is a challenge, however the rewards can be very substantial.  Our opinion is that if you can not intall and maintain a system yourself, there never will be a payback.

Each site or location is unique.  No one system is right for every property.  Let's say your current electrical energy use is between 1000-1500 KW (kilowatt hour) per month.  Look at your previous 12 monthly electrical bills to see how you are trending.  If we assume the cost of purchased electricity will continue to rise, we can forecast what we'll likely be paying per KW in three to five years.  This alone should be a good starting point for making the right choice.

Example:  Pictured below is a recent turbine installation on an existing concrete silo.  Silos can be a great option for a VAWT (Vertical Axis Wind Turbine). There are  thousands of concrete silos standing across our country with electrical power being consumed within a 100 feet.  Silo mounted wind turbines could make a substantial contribution to the grid.  See following pictures;

This tower was put up and down several times, then turbine attached to tower and then bolted securely to the silo in under 30 minutes. All aluminium and stainless steel fittings. Also can be easily lowered for servicing.

VAWT's range in size from 300 watts to 10KW. Using a silo, a tower can be pivoted up, then a boom truck or crane used to mount the turbine. No excavation or pouring of reinforced concrete needed.

Grandma Susie's, Hwy 147 off Interstate 43, Maribel, WI is planning to include a filling station for electric cars, powered by wind. This will be the United States first off grid electric car charging station. Now thats mileage! We are not saying, it's so easy even a Grandma could do it, are we?

We offer complete mounting hardware for silos. In addition we offer ground mounting hardware, including towers, free standing or towers with guide wire support.

Grid tied systems available for 2KW turbines and larger. Turbines, towers, charge controllers and inverters may be ordered as one complete package or as individual components. Grid tie inverters must be UL approved for connecting to the grid.

Not sure which size turbine is right for your property? The Power Predictor is the right place to start, (See The Power Predictor on home page, only $99.95 plus S & H) this hardware comes with its own licenced software. It monitors solar and wind speed day and night, measuring the potential power at your site. Once the facts are determined, calculating turbine size will easily determine all other components from tower to controller and inverter requirements. Some questions and answers:

Question:  If I need 3KW for my property, do I choose a 3KW wind turbine?

Answer:     The actual yield of any wind turbine is dependent on the mean wind speed where it is erected.  If you have a
mean wind speed of 10 m/s, the answer to your question is YES.  You will get the full benefit (3KW) from a 3KW turbine.
You'll need to check the mean wind speed of your area. The tower height, terrain and location of the wind turbine will dramatically affect the yield of the wind turbine.  Therefore, if you need 3KW for your house but your mean wind speed at the proposed location of the turbine is 7 m/s, for example, then you will get about 75 percent benefit from a 3KW turbine.

Question:  How then do I get the 3KW I need for my property?
Answer:     If the budget allows, get a larger turbine.  Or, if the budget allows, get a second turbine to make up the difference.
Or, if you have ample hours of sunshine, make up the difference with solar

Question:  My mean wind speed is not 10 m/s, or even 7 m/s.  My average wind, depending on the time of year, varies from 3 m/s
to 6.75 m/s.  Should I consider a wind turbine under those circumstances?
Answer:     Absolutely !    You can enjoy a large percentage of savings off your current grid-generated electrical supplier.

Question:  I've done my homework and now know that my mean wind speed is less than 2 m/s.  What do you recommend in
                    that circumstance?
Answer:     If it is within your budget and you have ample sunshine, choose solar panels.  Solar is always the more expensive
option when comparing against wind power, so you were wise to look first at wind power.

Question:  So what will a turbine cost for my property?
Answer:     Great question and here's our answer. First, if we guoted a price it would be a guess. Second, we do not work for                                 turbine manufacturers, we work for you. We shop for the best product, components including installation and service                           options to fit your site. We begin with competitive wholesale pricing, factory direct pricing to you, usually                                                   30-50% off retail pricing. We add a marketing fee from there, you know exactly the competitive bids from the start.
We speak with manufacturers around the world almost daily, they have the turbines, you have the wind.

Question:  If I wish to get started, how do I start?
Answer:     Send us an email to Sales@securewindenergy.com , let us know some facts about your property and monthly energy                         use. Available wind speeds and hours per day of wind.  Sometimes it is best to start with a small wind turbine,                                     a system you can handle yourself and learn from. Frankly, the more you know and understand, the lower your overall                           investment will be.  Questions: Info@securewindenergy.com

Question:  Where do we ship turbine systems?
Answer:     Anywhere in the US.
